So one of my favorite places I found while out in Maryland for the U.S. boat show was Rye Street Tavern. They have only been open about a month but already it’s best to make reservations. Great things spread quickly. I had a hard time deciding what part of my food to post, the warm jalapeño cornbread that came out to start the meal was amazing! My wood-grilled Maryland rock fish with shrimp, grits, and smoked tomatoes was scrape-the-plate worthy. The meal was so good I had to do something I never ever do, order dessert! I was only able to get through about half of the cloud like coconut cake (which made for amazing leftovers the next morning with a cup of coffee 🙈), but the most surprisingly delightful thing about the dish was the Maryland Mule Sherbet. Seriously delicious! (FYI, when I asked for my cake to be wrapped to go, leftovers were accompanied by an adorably packaged muffin to be enjoyed the next day!)
